Like most college students, I’m not the biggest fan of finals. I’m just not. The fact that, regardless of how well or poorly you completed every assignment throughout the semester, your final grade is most always dependent on one high-pressured exam has always perturbed me. It’s why I’ve never liked finals and likely never will. Yet that’s not my only take on them. For now, in my fifth college semester, I finally see how finals apply to the real world.
The Small Decisions
Between Shark Tank, high school seniors, college graduates, and more, everyone’s witnessed another person make a big decision. More than that, most everyone has had to make a big decision in their own life. These decisions are exciting, often utterly nerve-racking, and typically result in an immense change in the decision-maker’s life. But while these big decisions can be life-altering, we often overlook the even more important small decisions.
